Why Our CBD/Curcumin Blend Softgels Are Our Best Seller

In the months since we opened our doors, our CBD/Curcumin Blend Softgels have become a huge favorite with our customers. We’re going to tell you about what it does to help those in pain and why you may want to try it, too.

As CBD becomes more popular and mainstream, softgels have gradually become a popular option for CBD enthusiasts. Because a softgel is easy to ingest and flavorless, many consumers prefer this relatively new method

We offer a CBD/Melatonin blend Softgel to help provide a restful night’s sleep and, of course, our CBD/Curcumin blend which we’ll discuss below.

Let’s first look at CBD and how it can help pain.

What the scientific community says about CBD as a pain treatment

There are a growing number of physicians who recommend CBD for their patients suffering from general and arthritic pain and are reporting phenomenal success. In a recent article published by the American College of Physicians, medical professionals who studied arthritis and other chronic ailments stated, “(W)e cannot ignore the reality of cannabis’s growing use as medicine, especially for chronic pain.

A lab technician holding a testing containerA lab technician holding a testing containerAlthough there are recent laboratory studies and preliminary reports showing promising results and highlighting CBD’s safety and pain-relieving effects, well-designed studies that offer solid medical evidence simply don’t yet exist. It logically follows that there is no rock solid conclusion regarding the effectiveness of CBD not because it doesn’t work but simply because definitive studies haven’t yet been undertaken and the resulting data isn’t yet available.

Well then, how do we know it works without solid scientific data? By word of mouth, of course! Many Americans are using CBD to manage their pain and are experiencing very promising results.

Who is using CBD for pain?

According to a Gallup poll taken in August of 2019, around 14% of Americans report using CBD products with most of them doing so to relieve pain. A recent poll conducted by the Arthritis Foundation found that:

  • 79% surveyed were “currently” using CBD at the time of the poll, have used it in the past or were A woman stretching on the floorA woman stretching on the floorconsidering using it.
  • 29% report they were “currently” using CBD to manage their arthritis symptoms.
  • Daily use was reported by 63% percent of those “currently” using CBD and 26% used it several times per week.
  • Of those surveyed, 62% used a liquid form of CBD and 55% used a topical product they applied to their joints

More importantly, of those who were using CBD to manage pain, approximately 75% reported that it was either effective or very effective in relieving several symptoms.

  • 67% report improvement in their physical function.
  • Over 30% say it provides relief from morning stiffness and helps get them moving.
  • Three-fourths report improvements in their ability to sleep (71%).
  • Over 30% say it helped relieve symptoms of fatigue

CBD instead of prescription drugs?

When compared to traditional prescription drugs there is also a trend emerging in favor of CBD. Kevin Boehnke, a PhD and research investigator at The Chronic Pain and Fatigue Research Center at the University of Michigan Medical School surveyed over 1300 patients who tried CBD as an alternative treatment for their suffering. A vast majority reported reduced pain and milder symptoms following a CBD routine than with traditional remedies and, of the nearly 700 opiod users, 72% experienced so much success with CBD that they stopped using opioids altogether.

Why we’ve added curcumin

An image of Turmeric and powderAn image of Turmeric and powderTurmeric is a bright yellow spice used throughout the East for centuries in cooking, fabric dyeing, cosmetics and traditional medicine in China and India. Curcumin is the active ingredient in Turmeric and has in recent years,
been embraced by many for its impressive list of health benefits.

Curcumin has strong anti-inflammatory properties, making it a useful treatment for a number of health conditions, especially reduced pain and increased ease of movement in people with osteoarthritis, arthritis and general joint pain. One study found that taking turmeric extract three times daily was comparable to taking a 1,200-milligram dose of ibuprofen daily.

And joint pain isn’t the only health benefit curcumin offers.

For cardiovascular health

Curcumin has also been shown to be a deterrent to oxygen free radicals, which are chemically active molecules that cause damage to the body’s cells. Free radical damage, along with inflammation, is a key driver of cardiovascular disease, so curcumin can play a part in preventing future heart issues and managing existing

As a cancer deterrent

Numerous animal studies have explored turmeric’s influence on cancer, and many have found that it can affect cancer formation, growth and development at a molecular level. Research has shown that it can reduce the spread of cancer and can contribute to the death of cancerous cells. Turmeric and curcumin may also be able to counteract the effects of some carcinogens, such as certain additives used in processed food.

Curcumin may even be brain food

There is growing evidence that curcumin can cross the blood-brain barrier and may help to protect against Alzheimer’s disease. It works to reduce the build-up of protein plaques in the brain that are characteristic of Alzheimer’s disease sufferers. Another study of 60 patients showed that curcumin was as effective in treating depression by boosting levels of brain-derived neurotropic factor, thereby acting as an active anti-depressant.

Other areas of investigation include curcumin’s effect on Crohn’s disease, depression, diabetes, joint pain and irritable bowel syndrome.
